So, it has come to my attention that you cannot follow more than 2000 people at a time. That forces me to change how I conduct this little experiment. originally, i wasn't going to remove any non-following people that I'm following for at least a week or two, to give them ample time to do so. Now, I'll have to remove them every couple days in order to continue this at a decent speed.
The biggest issue is that, based on the current percentages, I'll only be able to continue this experiment for another 3-4 runs. Not exactly a very long study, but it does seem to be effective! So, do i complain that it didn't last as long as i wanted, or do i rejoice because it worked so well that i had to end it early?
